Leet Family's First Camping Trip

One thing about the Leets is that we like the outdoors! James and I were both excited and concerned how a baby can change the pace of life. To be honest, I was nervous about how a baby would impact our ability to be active. Despite our concerns, we decided to persevere and do a one nighter in the woods! It was worth all the extra packing and paying attention to the small details we usually forget. I think Jamison did great and loves the outdoors :) He was constantly looking at all the lights flickering through the trees. I have waited for the day to say we slept in the tent as a family! This trip helped us to believe that it is possible to go camping with our lil' one.

Our friend Orion came camping with us. He loves Jamison and wants to hold him any opportunity he gets!

First camp fire...he looks a little scared here but I reassure you, Jamison loves the light. If he is anything like his parents, he will like fire.

Sneaky photographer captured our morning snuggles after a great nights sleep in nature. I love sleeping in a tent, especially with my family.

We will return to nature again...

"When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares."

~Henri Nouwen
