"You don't take a photograph, you make it." -Ansel Adams
My first introduction to digital photography was tonight and it was amazing! I am really looking forward to diving in deeper to a hobby/interest that I have had for a long time. Top 11 things I learned tonight:
11. Don't always center.
10. Sometimes center...sometimes you just gotta break the rules!
9. Less is more, simplicity. Include only the elements that are intended.
8. Use natural lines. Remember you are drawing the viewer to where you want them to look.
7. Use natural light. Try your best not to use the flash!!
6. Make everything count. Be aware of the background and setting.
5. Explore composition. Be thoughtful of angles and perspectives when thinking where to stand.
4. Focus.
3. Careful cropping.
2. Be patient. Wait for the right moment.
1. Get closer. "If your picture is not good, you're not close enough."
Can't wait to share more with you...

"When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives mean the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving advice, solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our wounds with a warm and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who cares."

Cool Katy! Where are you taking your class? I'm excited to hear more and hopefully eventually see more of your compositions. This is just great for you!
Love you heaps!
